Description
This is an early version of my Glass Forest piece, before the trees were glassy and reflective. I still enjoy the drama of the darkness and contrasting colors, so here it is!Also, the branches kinda remind me of arteries and veins, which makes the piece more symbolic-y.

It seems like I'm hearing the fallen needle on the ground... Dramatic, fabulous!

Not to downplay the finished piece, because it is great, but I prefer this one of the two. It still feels glassy, especially due to the ground, and it feels cool and damp. I really like that, it is very peaceful and enchanting. Inspiring.

Love the blue of the trees, the pop of red-orange makes for a really eye-catching composition.

The contrast between the girl and everything else is just so cool. It really makes someone feels alone but the blue colors doesn't make it feel scary.
It personally makes me feel anxious, hoping for something magical or extraordinary to happen. The bottle she's holding also seems mysterious...so intriguing.
I'm sorry if my interpretation is completely off or wrong but it's just my own opinion. Good job on this piece.

I love how vividly she stands out, with that extra splash of reflection behind her.

Ahhhh! You have no idea how much fun it is to go back and forth between the two pieces really fast. It's like flicking the light switch up and down. I think I did that about 50 times in quick succession.

it would've been nice if it still had reflections though...but this just makes the girl pop out more than the previous one. just awesome

It's forbidding and sort of sad at the same time. The use of really simple colours make this a beautiful piece.

so beautiful...i think my favorite part is the ground. i love that glass effect the light through the tree leaves have upon it. and the use of red not only in her hair but on her skin which makes for such a pretty contrast.
