One friend told me long ago that he did in their wigs but not for 5 days was investigated and I mix several tutorials and this was the result

Do you style it when it's still wet or do you let it dry first?

how safe is this on the hair? i know that fabric softener contains a lot of sulfates and sulfates decompose the hair. depending on how much it could fall apart rather fast. i didn't think stripping the hair like this would benefit its future use. i restore dolls and new information is always good to know. but other than that this is rather interesting.

Is just a cup of fabric softener on synthetic hair diluted in water.
I've used it several times and it work perfectly

Why do you particularly need to put Talc in? In my opinion after applying it, the wig then almost looks a bit too dull. Can you skip that step possibly?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Alexamadden In reply to SilverStitchedMoon [2013-03-13 14:30:40 +0000 UTC]

you can skip this step but the talc helps remove excess shine that contain the wig

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

SilverStitchedMoon In reply to Alexamadden [2013-03-14 23:49:34 +0000 UTC]

Does the fabric softener take away some shine already? I like the idea, just I would like a tad shine left.

Alexamadden In reply to pizzacringissimo [2013-03-13 14:29:11 +0000 UTC]

Do you wash the softener out of the wig after you're done soaking it or do you leave it?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Alexamadden In reply to lindaeques [2013-03-12 03:14:18 +0000 UTC]

leave it on the wig and let it dry in the shade

JuliaNadine In reply to ??? [2013-03-12 01:22:19 +0000 UTC]

So after you put it in the softener, how do you remove it? With just water?

how do you use the talc? like hairspray or what o.o i understood all except that part

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Alexamadden In reply to Giseiinu [2013-03-13 14:41:50 +0000 UTC]

Wait for the wig to dry.
The comb as you wish
Ultimately apply talc to remove excess shine and hair spray so it will not fall so easily.

The iron won't melt the wig?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 2

xgreenling In reply to brittniixD [2013-03-13 06:22:40 +0000 UTC]

I spray the wig with water first so it steam-sets. If your flat iron has a temperature dial, put it on the lowest setting and turn it up gradually just until it works. It shouldn't be sizzling loudly or making the hair frizzy at all, just gently reshaping the fibres.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 0

Fluttershyiscute In reply to brittniixD [2013-03-12 00:26:27 +0000 UTC]

Depends on the wig. Some are okay with straightening, some aren't. Make sure you know yours is iron-safe before the fact!

Alexamadden In reply to Shizel-Azur [2013-03-12 03:07:29 +0000 UTC]

Alexamadden In reply to KuRumi-FlameSamurai [2013-03-12 02:56:21 +0000 UTC]

el talco le termina de quitar el exceso de brillo que le pueda quedar a tu peluca cuando esta se seque se lo aplicas un poco desde la raiz la sacudes y mi recomendaciΓ³n es aplicarle fijador para cabello asΓ el talco no se cae
