lol Y'know the completely stupid thing is that the anime section is pretty damn true for some people, always adding 'chan' and 'san' and anything with 'an' in it to make them anime artist. This was pure shit, yet hilarious, and I love it!

Sadly true!.. When I 1st entered DA I had exagerated expectancies.. after being forgotten day by day I gave up commenting this and that. I even try getting the VIP members to check my gallery, and got threaten to be banned if I bother them ever again! (imagine that!!!)
In nowdays I only use DA has an expositorium and I exchange ideas with my fellows (known ppl from msn/ichat/icq/yahoo messengers). I believe that ppl/artist who expose their work want to get notice: hey Im here check my work and a leave a small comment for better or worse!
Cant we forget that Favs are made by viewers, so it depends of the individual point of view... are we going to start doing our work to be liked by others? or because we feel like doing it?
I just hope that who reads ur tutorial actually learns the lesson within!

I darw japanese style, i've got my name confirmed of meaning and everything by a japanese, and I have only followed 2 of the anime thing in the tutorial. I don't fav my friends art unless i think it really looks great. nor any other art either. i'm very picky with my favs. And I like j-rock, but I like english rock waay more. I haven't even got any japanese band as fav.
But anyways, this sure is kind of true, and i'm sad if people fav my art so i'd fav theirs. That's stupid :/ I actually liked this tutorial, which surprised me.

Irony? Actually, I dont see these as the worse offenders. Possibly the anime. But its mostly all about the cute shit, and the crappy game related flash animations. Its always the same people getting on the front page, and thats mostly due to the ignorance of the people on deviantart. They don't see art, they see pritty. What ever is pritty to their stupid little heads is the best, so if its big gigantic, shiney eyeballs and pure golden, shiney hair, its going to be on the front page.
