Raaar!sculpted in Zbrush, I'm still getting used to the program so once I figure out how to paint this thing I'll post another pic

This almost looked like a real wax sculpture. There's just so many excellent details and a great rendering.

Yeah, I tried to do something similar with a polysphere but ran into a lot of problems in the mouth and ear area, so I made a simple 60 poly mesh in Maya and used that instead of the sphere. Although I still had to create separate teeth and horn objs in maya because of the mesh density.... (I'm pretty new to zbrush so I'm struggling a bit with some of the concepts)

Well yeah those problems you encounter was because the sphere didnt follow like a topology of the mouth or ear.. so yes the best way to go is to create a base mesh, a low poly mesh but with good topology following like the muscle structure of those areas in the face.

It is so eerie. The scaly texture was done really well. Is it a baby dragon? It seems like its teeth and horns are still developing because they are small. :3
