Mu Arae b/ Quijote
Description
Mu Arae b; now known as Quijote (as of December 2015 via the NameExoWorlds Contest) is a warm jupiter type planet orbiting the sun-like star, Mu Arae; now known as Cervantes (also via the Name ExoWorlds Contest) about 50 light years away in the constellation of Ara. It is the first planet discovered in this system.
Quijote has a minimum mass just over 1.6 times the mass of jupiter which was determined via the radial velocity method, which is also the method used to confirm the planet's existance. The planet's radius is not known though, due to it not transiting it's star as seen from Earth and as such, its density is also unknown, but it can be assumed to be close to that of jupiter due to interior models of gas giants, where electron degeneracy pressure causes planets with masses greater than jupiter's to compress due to gravity. Due to it's high mass, it can be assumed that the planet is also accompanied by a group of orbiting moons.
Quijote orbits its star entirely within the conservative habitable zone. Assuming an atmosphere near chemical equilibrium, the planet is likely to be very white in appearance due to high altitude water clouds. While it is highly unlikely that the planet itself would support life, any large moons in orbit with sufficient atmospheric pressure may have liquid water on their surfaces and may be conducive to life. The planet's mass is also high enough to assume that these moons are high in mass and are rich in water-ice. As such, these moons would have melted in the habitable zone to form ocean moons with deep oceans. These moons would then provide highly conducive environments for the formation and evolution of marine life.

I like the variety of worlds here shown against the simple background of space. Often times we'd like to see more, but the vastness of space is often a simpler canvas when on large scales. The Earthly and Martian-style moons are catching. Any references drawn upon?

glad you like them. and i really didn't use any references for the moons besides just sticking with moon formation theories and tidal effects. but i guess the you say i was going for larger versions of io and with a melted super europa.
