Description Amalgamation is a Universe where a multitude of Sci-Fi videogame universes fit together as one, with it's own timeline, galaxy map, canon and comics. Images are organised into folders on the left:

Credit to Euderion for the awesome background, I got the Mass Relay Model from

sketchfab.com/models/dbc16b979… but as usual I edited it.

This piece is related to my "Citadel vs Covenant Event" more information and related links about the event is here:

Amalgamation Contest Update #3What is this? In case you don't know it's a contest where I host an event based in our universe. The event is called "The Covenant vs the Citadel"
All of the information around it can be found in the massively long description of these three deviations

I'm also going to tweak the contest a little bit, add in more rewards and increase the time of the event.
The goal: to create a fanart/poster (accompanied by 250 word minimum short story) depicting a battle based on this theme, composed of Citadel and Covenant forces fighting (may include Quarian and Krogan as apart of Citadel army, or even humans/UEGA, but only as supplements to the main three main Citadel races, refer to Galaxy Map description)
Or: Write a 2K word minimum chapter depicting the same thing
Click here for a word counter
The battle can b

The Ismar Frontier  is technically an Attican Traverse Cluster in the Galactic rim, but it borders outer Citadel Space and therefore is closely guarded by Citadel Forces. No major attempts at development have yet been achieved, save for the Blue Suns ' home turf at Zorya  and nearby worlds. What you see before you is a small Covenant Fleet probing the outer Citadel Defences not long after the initial response by the Citadel at Reach; whilst Slip-Space Technology is more efficient and totally self reliant, it's no where near as quick or cheap as using the Mass Relays.

When this small Covenant fleet came out at the Relay they were instantly swarmed by the waiting Citadel Fleet, like all engagements with the Citadel they relied on numbers and overwhelming forces, as well as the tactical advantage of splitting so much firepower among so many smaller, more agile targets. However what the Citadel Fleet wasn't prepared for was a slip-space rupture at there flanks; whilst the Citadel did have and use slip-space drives in this universe they were not as well developed or accurate as there Covenant counter-parts.

Everything went to shit right then. The Smaller Covenant Fleet which engaged the Citadel forces from the Relay had instantly transmitted the enemy's strength and numbers to a much larger force waiting just at the Pylos Nebula. The Citadel Fleet was taken by surprise and was ultimately destroyed; the Covenant's fleets whilst larger and slower were much more heavily shielded and they now learned to vigilantly protect there larger ships from disruptor torpedos with there Seraph fighters and smaller ships, combined with the element of surprise and a numbers tip the Citadel Fleet defending the Ismar Frontier had no chance. From the Ismar Frontier the Covenant is now able to easily launch offensives into deeper Citadel territory and colonies.

That's pretty good. Like the chaos after the first contact with the fleets.

Thank you I try hard to make stuff as accurately as it would be, I've read about the Covenant doing similar manoeuvre
and there accuracy with slip-space jumps is unprecedented by none but the Forerunners.

Has it ever been stated how fast ships travel using Slipspace and the Mass Relays or are you just guessing that using the Mass Relays are faster? Also, if huge battles and events like this are going on, what are the Vindicates doing in some facility in the middle of nowhere?

It's an educated guess, the Mass Relays seem to propel ships almost instantly across large portions of space, whereas it takes weeks to months with slip-space to go vast distances. Slip-Space seems to be somewhat faster than FTL though but that's just a guess.

I should really date these battles but basically the comic happens within a certain time, these events are happening in the same universe but don't exactly have to be the same time, they're giving you an idea of the war being wage over a period of time.

Say for example, when the Vindicates come back from the facility, they might only just discover that Reach was aided by the Citadel a few hours ago to them, all of these other battles are spanned over a larger unit of time than the comic can portray.

You still have one full month from now to get submit something if you want too (for the prizes at least), you can submit for both poster/visual art or just story written as well, 2K words is minimum for just a written story. Kinda like adding one chapter to the whole of the cluster-fuck of a story lol.

Only one story has been submitted so far and the top reward is core membership.
