Oh how interesting. I know nothing of their weaponry.
This should be quite informative.

Dear friend, I am not a communist, but I believe in historical materialism, the means of production determine the socialΒ and technological aspects. Certainly I don't prefer swords, armor and cataphracted horses, aesthetically fantastic, but the result of the work of serfs who planted 1 seed of wheat to harvest 4 or 5, and died of hunger like flies. I do not prefer flintguns of the professional armies of the authocratic European monarchies. These are the weapons of the enlisted citizen on armyΒ who have accepted social pact with their state, more or less democratic.
The atomic bomb and the mutually assured destruction, drones and smart bombs make me sick, I'm an old-fashioned man, I prefer the times when the infantry led the way.Β

Okay. I am not a communist either. Just wondering.
And I agree that the atom bomb indeed sucks. Lets hope it never has to be used more than world war 2's instance.

A few of these actually appeared in the Polish 2013 game "Enemy Front", the RKM Browning WZ. 29 in particular, wicked to see such immaculate detail here!

Polish? Where did they get the BAR from? Interesting model as well, most BAR I've seen had a one piece solid stock without the extra handle.

AndreaSilva60 In reply to Captain-Torr [2019-03-23 20:28:25 +0000 UTC]
It was originally produced under licence in Belgium by the FN Herstal, the caliber was modified from 30-06 to 7.92x57 Mauser, it has the extra handle and a longer barrel, then the production passed to a Polish firm.

They liked the design so they adopted their own version of it for their military.

The Poles fought bravely, their resistance to Nazi Germany is unequaled in history! Nice job my friend

IndeedΒ they paid a big toll, and once again they wereΒ crushed like a walnut by the German and Russian pincers, but they resisted indomitably.

Lol, yes they had no chance dealing with two super powers at once, but their resistance was really remarkable.
Is RKM an automatic rifle, kinda reminds me of HK G36.

There are similiarities, it was the Polish version of the Browning BAR.

rip Columbian Generation
tbh I wish my ancestors did more in the war (Great Grandfather was captured, they saw that he had some German lineage, sent him to a munitions factory in Berlin until the Soviets came in 1945, forcing him to go back to Kujawy province on foot)

I'll say one thing about the Polish armed forces, they really were inventive when it came to fighting the German army e.g. theΒ Sidolanka grenades made with Sidol(a brand of cleaner) bottle and filled with Chedite explosive.

Very interesting thanks!
I find the under-licence Browning a very nice rifle. It's a great pity for Poland that they hadn't started getting their automatic weapons to their troops.Β
Nicely done!Β
