Having carefully read the text I want to add a few comments.
1.) SVT 40, requiring careful care and high user skills, was very popular in the Sovetsky Marine Corps. In contrast to it, the ground forces were formed mainly from peasants, who for the most part did not have this experience. The same can be said about the more rare AVS 36.
2.) The PPD 40 prototype was created back in 1934 and later modernized in 1938 (model 1934/38), however, due to its high cost and technical imperfections it was not widely used. Only after the Winter War with Finland did the 1940 model appear, which became truly massive.
3.) The PTRD was not distributed "one per platoon", or rather, it was not a regular platoon weapon. Typically, a rifle regiment had a company of anti-tank rifles in the amount of 27 units (79 people). Then they were removed, but each rifle battalion had a company of 16 anti-tank rifles. Later it was reduced to a platoon of 9 units. При этом минимальной тактической единицей был отряд, который состоял из 3 anti-tank rifles (7 people, commander and three pairs). At the same time, the regiment / battalion commander could, depending on the tactical situation, distribute the available anti-tank weapons by platoons or concentrate on a tank-dangerous defense section.

In addition to the PTRD, there was also a PTRS self-loading anti-tank rifle with a magazine for 5 rounds. By the way, both of these weapons were recently used in the conflict in the Donbas, where they proved to be quite effective against lightly armored targets.

Yes it's true, I chose the PTRD because I'm a little lazy, the PTRS is more diffuicult to be drawn
I didn't know about the Donbas use, thank you for share.

Yes, there were examples of this. Of course, there is no way to knock down a modern tank from such weapons, but they are quite effective against the armored personnel carriers, infantry fighting vehicles, landing fighting vehicles and armored cars. The fact is that in the Donbas, from the Soviet times, significant mobilization stocks of weapons were located, therefore, in the early stages of the conflict, the rebels were actively using weapons from the Second World War. In addition to anti-tank rifles, I saw Maxim machine guns, PPS, PPSh, SKS carbines and Mosin rifles in the photo.

I'm sorry but, speaking about ww2, I just know the AVS 36 and the RPD
which I designed in the Vietnam War weapons, because
I'm not so sure that it was used in World War II.
Then sooner or later I could deal with the subject of cold war weapons.

Thank you! It comes as you say, when I was young I used to read the old military magazines, and I was quite stunned and a little bored because there were all you wished to know about the main Nations, while there were quite anything about the lesser ones, so I've tried to fill the gap, of course it's a drop in the sea
