Description Here is the Coolest janitor in the whole wide world: Kurt Hectic.

I was lookin through my old 3d models in hope to find something that needed finishing and bumped into this Kurt fella here and decided to spend my evening creating textures and putting up bones and posing him into some great heroic pose.
And the only pose that came in mind was this dive that Kurt made in the beginning if every level.

It came out quite nice, very M.D.K. ish, but I'm not sure if I overdid the motionblur and the colours a bit...

The model was made with 3dsmax 6 and textures and color tweeking in photoshop.

That is just awesome man... I myself was thinking about doing an artwork for MDK. But I don't have any bases whatsoever. I didn't think you could do something like this with just a colab of Photoshop and 3dsmax. Excellent job, man!

It was pretty hard to scrounge up enough reference material of the CoilSuit from the first game since it was in a time of very low resolution and Kurt is pictured from behind most of the time anyway Googling concept art is usually a good place to start. There's always someone who keeps stuff safe through all these years.

You know, earlier today, I thought of making a drawing of one of my friends in a similar pose. I just think it'll look awesome for her, and I'm thinking that she'll like it. Even though she's afraid of heights... I still think she'll find it cool when looking at a cartoon image of herself in this pose. What do you think?

Whoa...this is epic! I love the motion-blur effect as well as the way you got his pose right. Freakin' awesome! MDK was such a legendary game, I really hope they do the remake >.< It'd be cool to see another sequel to that amazing series.

It still is an awesome game

I think it was something like this: Aliens invaded earth and started tearing the cities down with huge minecrawler ships, and watching from his laboratory in earth orbit, the Doctor sent his robotic dog Max and his janitor Kurt to save earth. He equipped Kurt with armour suit called Coil Suit which had a parachute and a sniper helmet. At the beginning of each level Kurt dives from the orbiting laboratory landing on a minecrawler so that he can stop it. In a nutshell

I was just wondering how you did the helmet, because I was going to do a model of him for a HL2 mod, but I don't really have any good references for him.

Nice piece! I think the motion/colors are perfect.
