Description
Done during boring lessongs. The terminator chassis is propably one of my favourite things to model because of the challenge.
I'll propably submit more renders from this model as soon as I'll transfer it to 3DsMax6.
This was created with 3DsMax 4.

Thank you
Yeah, I got the whole machine modeled, head needs some fine tuning. Also no idea what I could do with it that hasn't been done yet

Ok, a little tutorial
If I remember right, this was rendered with the 3DsMax's Default scanline renderer.
The procedure went something like this:
-Make an object
-Create a camera and put the camera target to where you want the sharp area of the picture.
-Select the camera and scroll down a bit in the modify panel and check "Enable" from the Multi-Pass leaf.
-From the dropdown list select "Depth of field".
-Select the camera view and hit the Preview button on the cameras modify panel, next to that multipass thingy (the camera viewport should look like it does something funky and then show the depth of field in the viewport.)
-If the focus is too far or too near, adjust the "Target Distance" value, if the picture breaks up too much, add the amount of Total passes in the cameras "Sampling" leaf. If you need more/less blur, adjust the "Sample Radius" value.
And note that enabling Multipass means that the picture will be rendered as many times as what value you've put to the "Total passes" box. The bigger the value the smoother the effect, the longer the render time.
Hope this helps!

Great work!
Just one suggestion: To make it more terminator-like i'd add some glowing red somewhere. running through his (or her) body? like power conduits? It just seems a little too.... Calm?
Could be that im just a little desensitised from robotics after all that star trek...
Back to the point.... Great picture!
