This is my 12th DD. I'm humbled and honored. A big thank you to everyone who comments and favorites my images.

This one was obviously inspired by my previous image, link below, and especially by an interesting exchange of ideas that took place in the comments section there. I thought of doing now a somewhat similar mix of natural and artificial elements, from a similar point of view, but with a radically different balance of said elements, to compare the reactions. Let's call it a 'sociological experiment'.

The coexistence of man and nature, and the necessary harmony in this relationship, is something that you'll find in many of my images. However, as I found out in that exchange of ideas I mentioned, for any given concept the perceived level of harmony can vary dramatically depending on the sociological and cultural background of the viewer. That is fascinating.

This is especially fascinating if we consider that humankind will some day settle colonies in other planets and therefore these colonies will be tremendously different depending on the socio-cultural background of the settlers. I had never thought about that seriously until that moment.

This particular cave in this image was a repurpose (with many changes) of a cave that I made for these images:

The concept of elevated pathways is also a recurring theme in several of my images, here are just two, I have several more:

As always, this image was rendered in Vue in a 3D virtual world that I created, without photo-manipulation.
