I can't sleep, I - I can't have a moment to eat, every time I close my eyes, I can feel it on the other side of my eye lids just staring back at me like - like whatever is there can see straight through me! Everybody thought I was crazy, or laughed my concerns off, saying that maybe a ghost Pokémon had taken a liking to me. I have seen ghost Pokémon, this thing doesn't walk through walls, it's almost as if it reaches around them. This is the last recorded message Doctor José Admana, he had taken to making audio recordings after his right hand was amputated due to being horribly burned; an injury he had sustained when the mysterious creature attempted to restrain him. Admittedly, most of his coworkers, and even myself, felt it may have been exhaustion affecting him until that moment. Having previously complained of bright flashes of light, auditory hallucinations, and the constant feeling of being watched; Doctor Admana had been over working himself so it didn’t seem too far from the truth at the time. Doctor Admana’s body was found by his family 43 hours after the message was believed to have been recorded, his body marred with scorch marks matching the burn which had been inflicted to his hand prior. Autopsy reports show that some muscle, bone, and internal organs had also been burned with no signs of entry or exit wounds leading to the damage.

With the story reaching local news networks before it could be contained, Ghost Pokémon enthusiasts had begun to trouble the Admana family, going as far as to trespass on their property in an attempt to catch what had been labeled a ghost. Despite the authority's involvement, these events continued to occur, forcing the family to vacate their home, which in the end seemed to be for the best. Video footage taken by the ghost hunters would later go on to appear online, only drawing more attention as the recording showed a pale figure standing in what was the youngest daughter’s room, a large round head floating ominously above what appeared to be a vortex which descended into nothingness. A multi-colored body appearing to fluctuate in on itself endlessly, as it began to move, its body shrinking and growing as it stepped “around” the solid wall of the bedroom and into the yard in what could only be described as a slithering motion before the video and audio end. While the poster has identified themselves as one of the three individuals on the scene and has been since been charged with several misdemeanors, they state that one of their friends disappeared that night, though no body was found on the premises.

A team was deployed to capture the threat immediately, as it is believed to have been an unknown Ultra Beast, likely hunting in secret for some time now and could likely be responsible for several missing persons cases. Previous research shows that any creature which passes through an Ultra Wormhole picks up a permanent radiological marker which makes specially constructed Poké Balls more effective at containing the target. Developed by the Aether Foundation’s Lucimine to contain Nihilego they have a proven track record of being effective on any creature marked by a wormhole. Almost as soon as the team had arrived, they were attacked, the creature appeared out of nowhere, amidst the group and its “head” began to grow, light distorting around the creature as it lashed out at everyone around it, personnel and Pokémon alike. The struggle lasted for some time, with operatives seemingly being pulled in and out of existence around it, after entering into a struggle with an operative’s Gengar the creature was captured within the Beast Ball and given its name; Blacephalon.

It is now our understanding that Blacephalon is a Fourth-dimensional being, exhibiting many traits in common with ghost Pokémon though not exactly the same. Three-dimensional environments and creatures appear to it as though they were but schematics, Doctor Admana was unable to hide from the beast because it could quite literally see around the walls, and likely inside of him as well. While Blacephalon appears to grow and shrink when attacking and moving, what we see is the Three-Dimensional cross section of its Fourth-dimensional form moving through our own reality. Blacephalon is likely far bigger than we can understand given the size that its “head” is capable of “growing” to when reaching out to attack. The bright lights surrounding its form are a consequence of light bending around its body, its movements cause flashes and loud auditory pops akin to a firework when it becomes aggressive. Shadows appear to also behave quite differently for a fourth dimensional creature as well, projecting its shadow as a three-dimensional object in space.

Several operatives who were attacked in the skirmish were “flipped” when passing through the fourth dimension as they were attacked, reappearing as mirror images of themselves upon reentry to our own three-dimensional world. Some adjustment will be required, while they still continue to function normally, some tasks such as writing and direction have become confusing for these individuals. With no way to fix these changes without harnessing UB-09, which would be far too dangerous a task given its hostile nature, Blacephalon will remain within its Beast Ball under high security until further notice.
