Entry:
It devours the food it had accumulated for months as a Delibird with the coming of winter and gains a lot of weight, losing it’s flying abilities but waking it’s latent fairy type in the process. It’s weighty tail has receded as well, and now it stores all sorts of goodies it finds inside it’s beard-like plumage. On the same day at the end of every year, flocks of Jollybirds gather to march through towns and villages giving away gifts to children and adults alike.

I probably won't be around here for the festivities, so I'm posting this much earlier than usual as a consequence.
This is an idea I had in my head for a couple years now. I'm so glad to be finally doing this!

Not much to say about it though... Delibird is a very simple pokemon design-wise, so I tried to keep it as simple as possible for its evolution too.
In the end I just made it even more Santa-like. He kinda looks like a giant Santa hat now that I look at it.

Jollybird is actually one of the signature pokemon of the Tupama region's Fairy type gym leader, who's settled in a town that's entirely themed around Christmas (or whatever version of it exists in the pokémon world). So yeah, there's a reason for its inclusion in the dex beyond just fanservice.
