Friend of mine asked me a long while back if I could make him a couple reference sheets for his OCs and I finally got around to it XD

Name: Caleb ‘The Viper’ McCride
Born: 1792; Atlantic Ocean
Died: 1845; Richmond, Virginia
Allegiance: Assassins

Bio: Caleb was born to Irish immigrants on a ship bound for the United States in 1792. His father was an Assassin, though he himself never knew about the Brotherhood until much later in life. When he was 18, he opened a mildly successful little shop in New York City with his friend Jonathan. One day in 1811, a group of strangers showed up demanding he give them his earnings and his father's prized Assassin pendant. Caleb refused and the men left, warning him that he made a big mistake. Caleb went to his father, who looked mortified and told them they needed to leave immediately. Caleb did not understand, and went back to his store only to find it up in flames and the murdered body of Jonathan in the street. He tried running back to his parents, only to be ambushed by the strangers from before, tied up, and forced to watch his parents get butchered in front of him. He tried breaking free but was stabbed in the stomach and knocked unconscious before his parents were tossed into the flames.

When he awoke, he was surprised to find himself in the bed of a little manor on what he learned to be called the Davenport Homestead. He met an old man named Connor, who explained how he rescued him, who his father truly was, and that the strangers that attacked were evil men called the Templars. Caleb spent all day learning from Connor at the Homestead, and readily joined the Brotherhood when the offer was made. 12 months into his training, he already had a big problem to deal with when the War of 1812 broke out. He stayed in New York City for the most part, uncovering local Templar conspiracies while Assassins like Aveza Deryn and Arnold Bellamy took to the battlefield to fight Templar scum like Andrew Jackson and William Henry Harrison. Caleb even uncovered the identity of the man that killed his father, Michael Rooks, and he hunted him down. Upon killing Rooks and looting the body, he found a list of names of his conspirators. And so Caleb spent the rest of the War ridding New York of these criminals, earning him the title of Master Assassin by the end of it.

After the War, Caleb continued to work against Templar plans, such as the Trail of Tears, though he also managed to find time to settle down and have a family. He married a lovely lady named Marie and the two had their first born, Jackson, in 1824. However, Jackson was lost during a Templar attack on their carriage ride from Richmond to New York. The baby was believed to be dead, and Caleb fell into depression afterwards. They had their second child, William, a bit after. Years later, in 1845, Caleb was miraculously reunited with his son again. Caleb's friend and fellow Assassin, Steven Johnson, introduced him to his trainee when they were evacuating Richmond for safer, less pro-slavery territories up North. That trainee happened to be Jackson, whom Caleb was thrilled to have back. The reunion didn't last long, however, as a Templar raid led by Cudgel Cormac brought a bullet storm down upon their evacuation carriage. Caleb was hit by a stray bullet, and told the other Assassins to ride on without him. He stood tall for one last fight, giving his friends and family the chance to get to safety while he died honorably to defend them.
