Description

“The War of 1812 is finally over. Britain and the United States have finally ratified the Treaty of Ghent and ordered their forces to halt. And with the war over, the Templars no longer have the influence they once had… But it seems my journey is not yet over. For now I find myself in a bizarre, new, and terrifying world. One full of heroes that never rose, of borders that were never drawn, and of monarchs who were never crowned. The people here are miserable under the iron fist of their king, and it is my responsibility to put an end to it. I only hope I can have the strength to end the king… for he is a man that I once called mentor… that I once called friend… My name is Aveza Deryn, and may God give me the strength to do what is right…”

Okay, so… funny story behind this story haha. This was originally just meant to be some dumb little short story, something to just practice my writing skills on between bigger stories. It wasn't originally gonna be much of anything, heck I wasn't even going to upload this originally. But I kept repeatedly procrastinating on it for weeks and it constantly annoyed me how unfinished it was because of that procrastination. So when I finally finished it I felt so accomplished and I figured since I worked so hard on it, I might as well upload it. It's super short (only a few chapters) and isn't anything that grand or spectacular. But nonetheless, I hope you guys can still find some enjoyment in the thing that resulted from days of procrastination lol. I'll start uploading the chapters tomorrow. It'll go in the “Anthem” folder.
