Description
...in a hopeless place.Love the Rhianna song, and also thought it was perfectly fitting for Kunztie and Zoisite, whom I've always admired had found love in such a dark and hopeless place such as the Dark Kingdom.
I finally got Paint Tool Sai back, so I decided to celebrate with a quickie drawing that ended up taking more time than I thought, as usual.
Thank you for all favs and comments!!
EDIT: Fixed transparency on Zoisite's hand.

Oops, sorry, I meant killing Nephrite. What am I typing this morning?

nephrite's death would have been even more heartless, if zoisite had said:"It would be funny unless it were that pathetic. naah, what the heck, I'll laugh anyway".

Nah, Zoicite is no Mark Hamill. Besides, then I'd feel even less sorry about his death.

yeah. I liked and pitied zoisite and at the same time I hated him and desired to punch his "beautiful" face.

Punching would only be satisfying if you got him in the eye; then he would gripe about his face being ruined.

zoisite and kunzite made me wish shitennou had been in the anime fallen heroes and endymion's guardians like in the manga.

I agree, but I guess they wanted to do the Rainbow Crystals arc instead because they wanted to define the villains more clearly.

but couldn't they have still done shitennou in the similar way as in the manga?

Yes, they could have, but they chose not to. I don't know who pitched the idea to the script-writers, but I guess they were worried about kids emulating the bad guys because they were charismatic.

maybe it's just me, but I noticed the writers represented some male villains as pretty narcissistic: they are handsome and charming, but deep inside cruel and heartless. they wanted to teach to kids "an appearance can deceive".

Especially when you're pretty; studies have shown that handsome people get preferential treatment in the world. It's good that Japanese anime was instilling morals about inner beauty while having beautiful heroines, lol.

unlike sailor moon, the villains are more self-confident than her, but also self-centered. they are like those high school's "popular kids", who bully.

That actually explains Sailor Moon's influence on Buffy the Vampire Slayer; Sailor Moon fighting villains is a meta-version of surviving high school.

and zoisite is more bitchy than any of sailor moon's female villains. he's like Cinderella's evil step-sister... I mean, step-brother... whatever!

"Whatever" is right, especially when considering the sub and dub.

To an extent: I wouldn't just shish-kabob the guy that my queen is obsessed with because the guy is a self-righteous jerk.
The Evil Overlord list is also a good reference for becoming a villain. Have you Googled it?

I don't have a crush on them because of Tuxedo Kamen, but they are definitely pleasing to the female eye.

I completely agree! In return, though Zoisite could seem so cruel and ruthless to others, it was obvious that he cared for Kunzite a great deal, and he was capable of such loyalty and fondness for him! I've always thought that their love really showed a different side of them, and while some people may still remain with the idea that their love doesn't change their evil, I can't help but wonder what they would've been like deep down, if they had been capable of love in such a dark place.

That's also what made the live-action so interesting, where Zoicite was a reluctant villain who obeyed Beryl to save Endymion. He was complicated, and he could play piano. What's there not to love?

I completely agree! I loved Zoisite in the PGSM - as well as Kunzite, YUM - he was so complex, both of them! Also, I'm totally sure he had the hots for Endymion in the live action XD!
