My first tutorial is finally done! Thank goodness!
Oh my gosh, this took too long. I spent at least 10 hours working on this thing.
I made this tutorial because back when I was still learning how to make dress-up games, (well, I still am) I couldn't find any tutorials here on deviantart that taught you snap-into-place coding.
So I figured I'd make an advanced dress-up game tutorial since all the dress-up game tutorials here seem to be pretty basic.
So, enjoy!
-------------------------
Within this tutorial you will find:
• How to make clothes snap into place (snap-to-grid) [I referred to this as "drag and drop" in the tutorial-- Sorry for the confusion!]
• How to make previous/next buttons
• How to make context menus
• How to make color-changing buttons
I'd love to see what you've made with the help of this tutorial, so if you'd like, post it in a comment.
----------------------------
(Textures from cgtextures.com)
Once again, let me know if you need help with anything!

Thank you for this wonderful tutorial, it really helped me a lot, still, I have one question left.
How do I add multiple hairstyles and then add a button to change the hair color regardless of which hair style is being displayed?
Something like what happens here:

Thanks a bunch!

This is really useful Bu I have one problem. I made colour change buttons, and I thoroughly followed all the instructions. I went to test it and I clicked on a button, but it didn't change...

I have a problem I made my colour changing buttons, and they work, but when the dress up first loads up, the dolls skin tones are flashing like an animation, and I used the stop coad, what do I do?

Do you just add in blanc keyframes? :S on the colour changing buttons, where it says to add different colours in each frame?

About the next/previous buttons.
Are you have to have multiple frames to the character?
I mean, I tried this and every time i click the next button, the character disappears and the face changes.
What am i doing wrong?

I want to make a dress up game without dragging the clothes, instead choosing the clothes with previous/next button then click. Can you tell me how?
I never use flash before OTL

Amazing tutorial! i was following it fine until i got to the part where you have to paste the code on the arrow buttons (to go to the next/prev slide). It says the code can't be placed directly onto objects. Im not that experienced with flash so im probably doing something wrong! what should i do??

I have a question.Think a quiz. There are some blanks in some sentences. And there are some seperated words around. We have to choose true word and have to drag it into true blank. When we choose the wrong word, it goes back where it located before. It can not fill the wrong blanks.
So how can I code it?
Thank you from now!
