Long awaited tutorial of how I create my pixel horses! I really hope it helps someone out!If you have any questions regarding this, feel free to ask and I'll do my best to help
This tutorial has been created using photoshop elements 9 and is designed to work with photoshop, however the methods/techniques should all be compatible with GIMP and other similar programmes.

It would help more if I could actually draw a horse using a computer...I can draw decent horses using pencil and paper...

I'm glad you think so! Backgrounds are hard to make a tutorial of, I do a lot of random tracing for multiple images, then colour experimentation, tonnes of scribbling too, haha
