yea i did consider it, but there wasnt enough time to set up a 3d character before valentines day, and i dont really like using stock imagery cos its very hard to get the colours to match. im quite liking bubbles tho, so i may well make a similar image later on

get somebody to model for you, a character model would look fucking lame... but placing bubbles ina photo you have taken should look bueno

everyone i knew here has long since moved away, so thats kinda out of the question unless im gonna end up paying them. the other problem is the colour thing. the background scenery has to wrap entirely around a sphere or it messes up the reflections and its very hard to realistically match the light in one photo to that in another, so you tend to end up with the cut out character looking very flat against the background. one way to solve it is to change everything to greyscale and then add the colour manually once you match the lighting, but that also ends up looking dodgy and takes even longer than using a model.

How awesome looking, Cap. Nice job there. I don't really get what the non-heart object is supposed to be, though.

Silly me. I just noticed it's a heart more up the front. Was hard to see in details, but spotted it right away browsing your front page. >D

hehe yea, theyre all hearts. theyre meant to be bubbles but i havent yet found a way to get that oily petrol-blue look on them, so ive just had to settle for a bit of blue around the edges. im glad you like it
