This took F-O-R-E-V-E-R !
Photoshop kept dying on me. So I am going to try and do the breakfast one tomorrow. I think I am done with photoshop for today. I didn't think this would take so much time and be so huge.
Enjoy. If you make something with this please link back here so more people can learn how.

I do not suggest or recommend making polymer clay plugs for your ears. Polymer clay is not "clay" but a form or porous plastic. Meaning, your ears might grow into them! There haven't not been many cases but don't risk your ears!

I don't cut mine up all at once. I cut them as I need them. ^_^ I still haven't used up the cane I made in this tutorial.

Wrapping the white clay around the transparent clay to make the rice is definitely a great idea, it gives the rice a very realistic look.

I JUST tried to make one and it turned out horrible. (sure I didn't have the right colors, but still) I think I rushed it and pressed down to hard.

Canes usually have to age/harden a bit before cutting. Maybe pop it in the freezer for a bit and try cutting it again.

Yes, hard candies with an image inside are done in the same "cane" formation.

These are very good! How long does it usually take you to make these?
π: 0 β©: 1
chat-noir In reply to Ideya-Freak [2008-02-14 02:27:05 +0000 UTC]
Not very long, to make the cane it could take an hour or two depending on the complexity of the "fillings". Then you have to let it harden and age before cutting which can take a week or two, but you can shorten this time by freezing the cane before cutting.
