Description
New, improved and now available on Etsy! www.etsy.com/uk/listing/583858…A Huge a2 size chart showing 92 vehicles across all, (bar Twizzle and the Protectors) of the Gerry Anderson Series. Researched using a combination of published literature (EG, the Thunderbirds Haynes manual), visually looking at screen-grabs and matching against doors and things, and general common sense.
Tried to do a nice mix of hero vehicles and more obscure ones, try and guess them all.
Before anyone asks why "X" is missing, believe me, everything was considered but I only had an A1 page to work with and space was a premium. In the same way, if you disagree with this chart then that's ok, it's not meant to be definitive, just a rough guide.
Made in Photoshop, lots of photoshop... years of photoshop...

Gosh, where to start here? It's a brilliant idea ind incredibly well executed. I've spent that last 15 minutes trying to figure out all the craft and also playing the "Where's (Insert vehicle name) " There's a couple I haven't spotted and I appreciate that some ships might slip through the net so I'll name em' at the bottom of the critique. There are a few surprises for me. I always thought that Skybase would so much bigger and that the grey helicopter with the red stripe is seriously huge. (I presume it's from Thunderbirds?) It's amazing that you got so many craft into the image and that you had to have spent a huge chunk of time in front of photoshop and probably an even longer time trying to find sizes for the craft. Well done indeed!
I haven't spotted the Meta Probe and Space Station from Space 1999 and I haven't spotted Thunderbird 5.

Is that the Cloudbase original, or the New Scarlet Skybase?

Thanks very much for the Critique, unfortunately TB5 would have taken up too much room given its size.
Helicopter with red stripe is the Magnacopter from Captain Scarlet.

You could have put Thunderbird five in as a grey silhouette behind the others.

Maybe you should have used Illustrator, that way, as a vector image, it's not scale sensitive.
Very impressive, and quite surprising in places. (TB5 is THAT big?)
Also, the Mole, G&H transporter, Firefly and Recovery vehicle are all built on the same chassis, so should be relatively the same.
All the same, great job!

Obviously a craft like Fireflash would not be able to land on Cloud Base. But... what about Thunderbird 2? For the rest, super nice this :b

TB2 is pretty big half the time (It fluctuates between 50 and 80 meters throught the show)

Have you used Inkscape? Scalable vector graphics FTW!

A great revised chart, but the Zero-X should be larger. As should the Altares.

Zero X is scaled to the cars during it's launch sequence, the shot of it beside TB2 is an anomaly.

Really cool. Some of the relative sizes are very surprising; for example skydive seems very small in comparison. Any plans for a chart identifying all the vehicles and the shows; I recognise a few, but not a lot.

Skydiver's based off a cutaway Derek did and the shot of the pilot entering Sky one.

This is amazing! You've even included the ship from Lavender Castle, a shame Dr Agon's star-busting Space Fortress didn't appear though (granted: that thing was huge and probably would need a whole separate chart.)

Fabuloso! I always thought the Zero X was huge but I had no idea it was so much bigger than everything else, including the Fireflash. Great work Chris.
There is another less ambitious ID chart with TB5 on for those interested en.academic.ru/pictures/enwiki…

Wanted to download the 16555 x 11695 version (Y'know, cuz, I wanted to look at the tiny bits in the lower left corner), but it seems to be a broken link.

KallistiUK In reply to TheMJKnight [2014-08-25 16:17:47 +0000 UTC]
Stingray was never in a pod - they were two separate TV series.
Its very difficult to get accurate scales from screen shots as the makers never really bother too much about getting accurate scale. For example there are several shots of TB2 and Fireflash together and TB2 is obviously too small as there would not be space in the pod for the 4 elevator cars that are used to help Fireflash land.

TheMJKnight In reply to KallistiUK [2014-08-25 17:32:54 +0000 UTC]
Very sound points.
But my comment was merely from a point of observation from the size chart that based upon the size as displayed that it's possible that Stingray "could" fit into the Pod.
