Description
Many artists experience frustration because their figures look stiff, even in relaxed poses. You can turn stiff poses into natural looking poses - even dynamic poses - with a few well placed adjustments to the figure. But you need to understand the key concepts to do it. That's why I wrote and illustrated my new book, "Figure It Out! Drawing Essential Poses," which comes out in stores next week (but is a already available on Amazon).
In this tutorial, I demonstrate the way to "relax" a standing pose so that it looks more natural, and becomes less symmetrical. You can see more with the "Look Inside" feature on Amazon: amzn.to/29qwwoz

Is weird because when I stand, I hold a symmetric pose. That posture, with the weight on one side, looks uncomfortable to me (I don't say is wrong, is only that I don't stand that way)

You're probably often doing this pose without realising. It's common to shift weight from one foot to another if you've been standing for a long time.

Perhaps you are overdoing it a bit. However, in drawing, sometimes a little exaggeration, such as in fashion drawings, gives it style.
