We may not be thinking of the same kind of gender bend, but generally I feel that gender bending does not accurately convey what the non gender binary or transgender/transsexual communities actually are. It's more of an idea that's commonly (though I doubt this is the case in your books) fetishized by the anime/manga making community

I understand. It's not ultra-consequential in all poses, but it's so helpful in most. instead of limiting your options, understanding the weight & balance of a figure increases them.
