So this was something I've been working on for awhile. When decided to have a Thanksgiving contest with the theme of drawing a Native American character, it gave me some incentive to finish it.
Brother Bear is a very fun and creative movie. It's not one of my favorites, but I really enjoy it. What I like most about it is the art design, especially the character designs. Tanana in particular always stuck out to me. Such a cute design.
The idea for this came about months ago when the club watched BB on livestream. Somebody (possibly or ) said that Tanana was probably quite the looker in her youth. I thought it was a cute idea and wanted to draw it. After all, you see fan art of older versions of young characters all the time, but how often do you see young versions of older characters?
I put her older self in as well to give an visual of how she's aged over the years. Got to say, I'm happy with the shading on the characters here.
I think I actually made her look too young. I was aiming for early 20s, but I think I made her look 15. I don't know, maybe its just me.
The background is pretty sloppy. Sorry about that. I was in a hurry because I have a lot on my plate IRL right now and don't have time to make it look really good. That and I just suck a backgrounds in general.
