Brad went to the sorority party. When he heard the rumors about the sorority, he did not believe them. If twenty to thirty students disappeared every year, he reasoned, the entire country would know about it. Such disbelieve left Brad completely unprepared for what was to come.

One of the sorority girls came over to him and introduced herself as Lucy and challenged him to remember her from the past. Brad accepted the challenge. As far as he knew they had never met before, but he had met many people over the course of his life and did not remember all of them.

"Think all the way back to kindergarten," encouraged Lucy.

As Brad thought back, a memory came to him. He was sitting at his desk in kindergarten and Lucy was the girl beside him. She was wearing a yellow shirt and blue jeans and he was wearing a white dress with multicolored flowers on it. He paused realizing that was not right. It must have been the other way around.

"You were in my kindergarten class," Brad recalled. He was amazed that he could remember that far back.

"That was the first time we met," agreed Lucy. "but that was not the only time."

Brad recalled that he and Lucy lived in the same neighborhood and went to each other's house many times. Memories of them sharing their toys, playing jump rope, and going to sleepovers with the other girls in the neighborhood came to him. He wondered why they called him Brad. His name was actually ... Brenda!

As he accepted the name Brenda, his body and clothing blurred and changed. She became female with shoulder length hair and clothing similar to the girls in the sorority. She hoped she would be able to get into the same sorority as her BFF.

Other memories raced through her mind. During middle school and high school, they studied together, shared each other's clothing, and even talked about crushes they had in common. Brenda giggled as she thought about this. Lucy asked what she remembered and Brenda told her.

The summer between graduating from high school and college, Brenda and Lucy went to a concert together. It was very crowded but they had a good time. They screamed at the top of their lungs and got the attention of many interesting people. Lucy also had memories of the concert. They spent a long time talking about it.

Brenda was told she made it into the sorority. This made her really happy. The first thing she did after hearing the news was pose for a photo with Lucy. Then they posed for another photo with the entire sorority.

"Best friends forever," whispered Lucy.
