Jacob was exploring the shore of Misty Lake when he discovered how the lake got its name. A fog appeared in a matter of seconds. It was so thick he could not even see his hand in front of his face unless he put it real close. He did not know what happened but he knew he had to get out of the fog or at least go someplace safe.

Hoping the fog was localized, Jacob slowly moved forward with his hands out in front of him for protection. As he moved through the fog, changes occurred. His body became more feminine, smaller, and lighter. Simultaneously his clothing changed to match his new body. He was unaware of any of these changes except for a feeling of wonder and delight.

The fog began to disperse as the changes continued. His body became completely female. Wings grew out of her back. Finally, the mental changes occurred making her believe she had always been a fairy.

She continued to make her way through the fog with her hands out in front of her. Another fairy noticed her and called out to her. "Daiyousei!" she exclaimed. The one formerly known as Jacob responded as if Daiyousei was her name.

"Over here!" Daiyousei replied.

"Where were you?" the other fairy demanded. "I've been looking all over for you."

"I got lost," Daiyousei explained with some embarrassment.

"It's alright. You're safe now," the other fairy assured her.

The fog disappeared and Daiyousei could see the way back to where she belonged. She knew she was indeed safe, at least for the time being.
