Ash was a student at Magic Academy. The class was warned not to cast spells on their own shadows. Since their shadows were attached to them. Attacking their shadows was like attacking themselves. Ash did not listen. He thought his shadow would be perfect for practicing magic on.

First Ash forced his shadow to move so it was in front of the light instead of behind it like it was supposed to be. Next he forced his shadow to grow and shrink so it was not suited for the current lighting. Then he changed his shadow into different animals. His shadow became a frog, a mouse, a dog, and a snake in rapid succession. Finally, he turned his shadow into a large monster.

This was the moment his shadow decided to escape. It severed its connection to Ash and fled the area. Ash was left without a shadow. He thought about seeking help but that would mean getting into trouble so he decided against it. He could not think of a time when he actually needed his shadow. If he was careful, no one would even notice.

The shadow of a young girl appeared and moved around him mockingly. Ash could not tell if this was the same monster shadow who returned or a different shadow. Either way he did not think it mattered. He tried walking away only to discover he could not move.

The shadow had cast a spell on him. Ash did not think that could happen, yet it did. He finally realized what a terrible idea casting spells on his own shadow had been.

His shadow moved inside of him and started rearranging things. Instead of Ash shaping his shadow, it was shaping him. He became slightly smaller and slightly thinner. His hair grew longer and darker. Breasts grew on him. Even his genitals changed. By the time his shadow was done with him, it had made Ash, or Ashley, fully female.

Ashley felt her breasts and knew that they were real. Meanwhile her shadow had reattached itself to her and acted just like any other shadow would. Ashley moved around to try to prove her shadow was different but it was no use. Her reattached shadow was just like any other attached shadow.

Once again Ashley was able to move. She knew she had to get help regardless of the risk. However, as she walked away she felt dizzy. It was a leftover spell cast by her shadow. It was difficult for her to tell who was the girl and who was the shadow.

Ashley decided it did not matter. No matter what was going on around her, she had to obey her own shadow.
