It was a cold winter day and brothers Tim and Perry had the house to themselves. Perry wanted to go outside and play in the snow while Tim wanted to stay inside and keep warm by the fire. Neither of them wanted to do what they wanted to do alone so they each tried to convince the other to change their mind.

Seeing both of them had their minds made up, Tim and Perry agreed to go their separate ways. Tim and Perry gave each other a hug. When they did, the air sparkled around them. Neither of them noticed because they were focused on other things.

Inside by the fire, Tim rubbed his hands together. As he did, more sparkles filled the air. He became smaller. His shirt extended downwards towards his legs and changed color forming a green dress, his pants became green leggings, and even his boots turned green with decorative white poms on them.

As Tim shrank, his body gained female characteristics. Soon he, or she, looked entirely like a female, though a small one. Her sleeves disappeared leaving her arms and shoulders exposed to the elements. Her blond hair was magically placed into a bell bun. The final physical change was a pair of wings that grew out of her back. She had become a fairy.

Perry was experiencing similar changes. A gust of wind blew him into the air as he became smaller. His pants lightened and went upwards forming light blue capri pants, his coat and shirt merged together forming a light blue dress, and his boots almost completely disappeared forming light blue flats with white poms on them.

The main difference was Perry was outdoors. As his, or her, body became female, the cold became less and less of a concern to her. Her hair turned white and stuck out behind. Finally, wings grew out of her back. Since she was already in the air, she did not need to learn how to fly. She just needed to learn how to steer.

Tink ... Tim ... Tinkerbell tried to remember her name. It seemed unclear but gradually it came back to her. What she remembered more clearly than her own name was that her sister was still outside and might need help. She flew over to the door to check.

Peri ... Perry ... Periwinkle was having similar problems. She remembered her sister was still inside near the fire! She needed to check on her to make sure she did not melt so she flew over to the door.

As Tinkerbell and Periwinkle came closer together, their wings glowed. The closer they got, the brighter the glow. Both of them knew that the glow was a sign of the bond they had with each other. With a bond like that, they felt confident that they could survive any environment.
