But it lacks a plot. All it has is a bunch of fan pandering, most of which nobody actually came up with; such as Gummy talking in his head. Not to mention Celestia and Luna's illogical appearance, and that Changeling that apparently wasn't there after all.

It probably means background/supporting characters also made a great contribution to the entire TV show, just like the makers of MLP, and I think what the Mayor said at the end of the episode explained exactly what the episode was about.Β

I liked it at first but then I thought about it... I just don't really like that the fandom is making it's way into the show, and don't tell me "its just this special episode" cause it's not. :c Also I was reeeeeally hoping DJPON3 wasn't going to play Dubstep, ech.. I know, says the person with the name 'wubcake' but in the episode it showed her she was playing 80s music not dubstep. Also this is personal thing, but the whole Derpy muffins who thing has gotten really old for me. I've been in the fandom since believe it or not 10-10-10 and the muffins thing was silly and cute at first but it got everywhere and repetitive and annoying. Kinda like the Sonata tacos thing, Rarity crab thing, Fluttertree, Scootachicken stuff. Also I can't tell how happy I was that Lyra didn't reference humans!

THIS is A+ worthy?? I really hope this is a joke. It was fun for the fans to fantasize and create fan works about these characters But once we see this episode, we get one of two reactions. Those a part of the main fandom get their fill of squees but all in all get bored because it is exactly what they thought it to be, confirmed headcanons. While the other reaction is from those who aren't involved in the fandom are put off as confused because they don't understand the jokes that require the prior knowledge.Β

They made BonBon & Lyra talk,it sucks.
Also Derpy talks in this episode,his voice just sucks.
It made me feel very uncomfortable now as Hasbro's trying to please us bronies to an inappropriate extent.

because i felt like it was all fan service, it wasn't very good to me.
Even if they let us see the looks of every other character, like BonBon and Lyra and what not.Β

It's a good rating, just the main problem is obviously Vinyl is mute. I really don't like it when this episode is so rare, when can we ever do it again? Not only that, will Vinyl make another appearance in the future and this time she talks? Nowacking can do a better job than this.
We already have enough handicaps, Derpy's eyes, Scootaloo's flight, who else? Vinyl's a mute and must use sign language and written text to refer to us?

The problem with nowacking doing the voice in the show means that she can't do anything with fan works. I'd rather have mute show vinyl and have voiced fan vinyl instead of the other way around.

This episode is tied with Tanks for the Memories as my favorite episode of the season.
Was it all fan service? Yes, but it was very entertaining and humorous fan service.
Plus, it created a lot of potential for new episodes. I'd especially like an episode focused on the changeling.

After the 100th episode, I believe we need to get more on the background characters, give the mane 6 a few episodes off and have a look on the townspeople of ponyville. Seeing what happens when the mane 6 are out of town. Maybe even a background mane 6 being used for a few episodes too. There is so much potential not to have the idea done.
Still back to this episode and golly it was the best fun possible, seeing the chaos on how changing one day would turn out. It's nice to have different references happening in the episode and naturally they should of made the episode longer than 22-24 minutes, for a 100th episode blow out it would of been worth a 45 minute special. Overall a very nice episode for the fans of the show.

It was indeed a wonderful episode, and a love letter to the bronies.Β What other children's cartoon has even attempted such a thing?Β FiM is truly one of those lightning strikes where, without anyone intending it to happen, becomes a once-in-a-lifetime phenomenon.
One quibble: I'm disappointed that they're turning Vinyl Scratch into a sort of Harpo Marx character (first in the movies and now in this episode).Β But I assume they have chosen to do this as a salute to the wonderful Jill Nowack, the incomparable fan-voice of Vinyl--sort of a way of saying after her wonderful Vinyl voice no other actress could do her justice.

Yeah, but this episode is so rare, when can we ever see Vinyl again and this time she talks, a lot of people expect that but the episode blew it. An episode that is already 100% but then ends up to 90-95% for the lack of Vinyl's voice. Nowacking can do a voiceover on the missing scenes.

She may indeed become a fully fledged professional voice actor some day, but until she does I think union rules prohibit her from actually voicing a character in an actual cartoon.
