I've honestly always rooted for DT to get a redemption, but this did feel very rushed, but I've enjoyed it no less.
I also loved the CMC's cutie mark designs. It shows that they truly are destined to an knitted tight relationship. It's just beautiful.

It's perfect and emotional in pretty much every aspect of itself, though in my eyes only Pinkie Pride and Twilight's Kingdom I feel are the only two that definitely still stand above this.

Agreed! I'm pretty sure that there are many people that are emotionally abused by their parents that have high expectations and believe to be superior to others like Spoiled Rich (that screams nasty attitude). I personally would have found it more interesting if they make DT more of an sarcastic jerk with a heart of gold, instead. Like she's more brutally honest, but in not in an mean way and acts all cool to avoid being viewed as weak.
Agreed! Discord's character arc in Twilight's Kingdom was amazingly pulled off (they could have given him and Tierk an villain duo with different POVs). Pinkie Pride was the best Pinkie episode ever.

Let me see why I like this episode so much:
- Starting off, we have a few really good songs, which makes up for the severe lack of songs earlier in the season
- Pip gets some more screen time of his own
- Silver Spoon finally has enough of Diamond Tiara's crap, which I think they hinted at in "Pinkie Pride" with the milkshake
-We get some ACTUAL character development from Diamond Tiara! She's not just the one-dimensional brat that we've all come to hate. We're actually give a reason to feel bad for her. She was raised to be a spawn of her incredibly snobby mother so she never had the chance to truly be herself. I genuinely loved the moment when she found the courage to call her mother on the way she was treating everypony else.
-And most importantly, the thing fans have been waiting FIVE SEASONS for.... The Crusaders FINALLY get their Cutie Marks! I especially like how though their marks look the same, they each have a different symbol on their shields, so there is room for their other talents to shine through
I think this is easily one of my favorite episodes of the season so far, and my favorite CMC episode. I think if/when the show ends one day, this will be one of my favorite episodes overall.

I don't normally discuss my feelings about the show publicly, but from time to time, I enjoy reading other people's perspectives about it. I am definitely glad I waited to read this (or any social media posts) until I watched the episode for myself.
I was pleasantly surprised by the events in today's episode, and five years of emotional investment made the final moments so much sweeter. This is definitely a standout episode for the show, and I am eager to see where the rest of the season is going.

-After 5 years, the CMC finally got their Cutie Marks.
-The CMC got them at the same time, doing the same thing. (Like they hoped.)
-Diamond Tiara finally accepted the CMC as just normal ponies.
-The mention of AJ's, AB's, and Mac's parents ("Ma an' Pa woul' be so proud of ya'.)
-RD and Rarity singing about how proud they were of Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo.
-The scene where Luna and Celestia got the picture
So... mostly everything!

I absolutely agree that this episode should receive the highest rating. 10/10. A+. Also two thumbs. Not only was it a solid stand-alone episode, but taken within the context of the Cutie Mark Crusaders character arc, it was one of the greatest of the show. Whereas each member has been developed individually in other episodes (‘Sleepless In Ponyville’, ‘For Whom the Sweetie Belle Tolls’ etc.)- and this episode did put a big spotlight on Diamond Tiara- I think ‘The Showstoppers’, ‘Flight to the Finish’ and this episode could easily be taken as the ‘essential Cutie Mark Crusaders’. And, as the CMC’s reached a new level of maturity, I feel that so too has the show. If it has to end soon, it wouldn’t be better deserved than it is now.

I typically won't re-watch an episode of anything unless: a) it’s a Holiday episode, or b) it’s an episode that I deem to be a good introduction to non-fans. In that latter capacity I don't see myself watching it again anytime soon because I feel a lot of the heart behind this episode would be lost without the proper context. I will probably listen to the shit out of the songs in this episode though, as that tends to get me in the proper mood for sketching and painting ponies etc.

After five seasons, do Cutie Mark Crusaders episode still entertain...let's see!
Pros:
-I always love musical episodes, and the songs here did not disappoint. They were all a joy to listen to and are some of the best that this show has to offer.
-After this episode, I no longer hate Diamond Tiara. The fact that this episode changed her is a great idea, as it took away her general annoyance and went into detail of why she even acted this way; now if only we could learn the same for Silver Spoon.
-At this point in the show, the CMC plotlines have become repetitive, making us wonder if they would ever get their marks. This episode, however, finally bit the bullet and went ahead. Way back when I thought that giving the CMCs their Cutie Marks was a bad idea, as it would seem rushed. I couldn't be any more wrong-the pacing in this episode was perfect.
-The three acts all fit together as well, and they were each entertaining in their own ways.
-Lastly, I just loved some of the visuals in this episode, they just show how far the show has come in the animation department.
(Sort of a) Con:
-With this episode's ending, it just makes me wonder how the CMCs will continue as characters, it makes me worried because when they're written right, it's done well.

Seriously this episode has Amy Keating Rogers go out with a bang in terms of her writing, and the ending of the CMCs cutie mark search arc was done near flawlessly. Nobody should give this episode a pass, and this is coming form someone who's least favorite episodes of the show are CMC episodes.

It's my 3rd favorite of all time though. So in all fairness, only Pinkie Pride and Twilight's Kingdom stand above it in my eyes. But it's definitely my favorite Season 5 episode. Giving even Amending Fences a run for its money!

I have to agree with you that Twilight's Kingdom is a very good episode, as well as Pinkie Pride (I mean Weird Al Yankovic as a pony? - Awesome!) and Amending Fences (the best of the season so far if not counting this latest one).
But those episodes didn't make such a great impact on me. This latest episode, however, won me over with many things: it made me care about Diamond Tiara; I didn't stop watching even though I despise sond driven episodes; and the CMC earning their cutie marks almost made me cry tears of joy.
And if an episode can make such a great impact on me, that means it's worth checking out and considering it one of MLP's bests.

I consider it masterful for the same aspects you just said as well, but the reason Pinkie Pride is higher on my list was (not necessarily cause of Weird Al's character performance but) that it's the episode that made me a brony back in summer of last year right after I turned 20. And Twilight's Kingdom is still my overall favorite for the best plot, best villain, best narrative, best moral(s), and just pretty much good with every other aspect within' it. So again, CotLM is still a masterpiece, but still for me only Pinkie Pride and Twilight's Kingdom stand above it.

Oh yeah, the very first episode is always special for everyone. Too bad I started the show from the beginning and binge watched every episode till the season 4 premiere...
It's good for you that one episode has a very special place in your heart - at least you made a firm decision.
And I have to agree that Twlight's Kingdom is a really strong episode - although it lost it's first place on my top 10 list, I still consider it the best two-parter to date. (But look out, maybe Twilight's Kingdom will have a competition this year with Starlight Glimmer screwing with the past - or something like that...
