if it doesn't work, make sure you have the links in the right spot. Like for example, the Background URL (basically click download on the picture you want for you BG) goes in the background slot, the LINK TO THE PAGE WITH THE DEVIATION (not the pictures actual downloaded URL) goes in the "deviation URL" and the ACTUAL DOWNLOADED FULL SIZE URL goes in the "deviation-image-url"
I had those last two mixed up but once I switched they worked! Now the issue i'm having is how big the picture is that I want to display D:

My image kept turning out way too big, and it looks like some others are having the same problem. So I'll just share how I solved my problem, maybe it'll be helpful to some others ^^:
In the part of the code that says , I just typed width="500" right in between "img" and "src". It made my image a little smaller so that it would fit better on my profile. I used 500 but you can adjust it to whatever value works best for you
And my image is rather tall, so it kept getting cut at the bottom. To fix that, just input < br > (without spaces) at the very beginning of the code as much as needed

I keep getting my customized box with a giant picture of the picture in the box overlapping everything

you should get the deviation image URL when its not in the editing mode...

I guess it would also work by entering the deviation in question as :bigthumb…: instead of using 👍: 0 ⏩: 1… ?
That would save some copy pasting and I think :bigthumb…: is the size for deviations in those widgets anyway.

You should take the image URL when it is NOT in the editing mode. (even before pasting your customization code)

What is the difference between the deviation url and the deviation image url? That's the part I'm stuck on.

Deviation URL is the URL address of the deviation that you can copy from the browser addressbar. And Deviation image URL is the link of the image of your deviation. You can check this journal for Custombox F.A.Q. + Tips and tricks on how to get your image link.

You need to put all the image links in the code as explained in the tutorial. And it is normal to get the bg over your original deviation image. This code works as an over imposed image over your original content.
