I did this twice and it worked (a few weeks ago) and I went to do it again and it cuts the picture off this time. The image URL is coming up with the first part being "fc" instead of "th" like it was the first time. What should I do?

I did the whole process but when i save the custom box, all i get is a slight top half of my image.... is there something im doing wrong? I put all the right urls in the right spots

may be you should use
tags (you can use is as many times as you want according to your need) at the bottom of the codes to increase the size of the box

As far as I understand this cant be applied to regular deviations which are displayed in the gallery and its sections.

For galleries you need to code the CSS. This tutorial is only for the front page widget.

I just discovered this guide (Which is FANTASTIC!) I followed the steps but my background image appears as a little page. I can't see the background itself and my art piece over it. Any idea what I'm messing up on? Thanks.

Probably you are switching the deviation-image link with the background link. It could also be that one of your image link is broken.
