Description

Kate was horrified. She was locked in a room with a transforming monster, while outside was one that was breaking in. She didn’t know what to do, she was all too worried and panicked to do anything. She could hear Monica transforming behind as, and as she turned back to look, she saw what Monica was becoming. Her cheeks had separated from the face, becoming a type of frill. Her teeth became sharp, and small tentacles were forming at the back of her throat. Blood was being drooled out of the mouth, causing her moans became more and more inhuman, as her arm began to stretch and swell. Her hands and fingers were consumed by growing flesh, becoming large tentacles. A single, large tentacle ripped apart Monica’s right shoe.

Finally, her eyes became Orange and deranged. Her transformation was over. Kate knew she needed to think of something fast if she were to escape. The idea came quick, and she stood on her legs, with the Monica thing ready to lash out. Kate grabbed the door knob, blood racing into her legs as she prepared to leap sideways. Monica thing let out a long screech and charged, tentacle arms flailing in the air like large whips. Kate opened the door and lept sideways, just as Trevor pounced through the entrance, crashing into Monica and pinning her down.

Kate seized this chance and dashed out the door, leaving little time for the Trevor thing to realize he’d been tricked, He lumbered backwards and trailed Kate, leaving the Monica thing behind. Kate was far ahead of Trevor, and soon she found herself with Childs and McReady. Childs had informed McReady about the ambush, and that he needed help. “wheres Monica?” Boris asked, joining the group. Kate looked at him sadly, replying “I'm so sorry, but she’s one of them now…” After hearing that, Bori’s expression became sad and heartbroken

“Trevor is coming!” Kate told Childs and McReady “We need to act fast!” McReady was prepared though, because he had devised a way to easily fool and burn the thing. “I hide next to the walls of the doors, and as soon as the bastard passes through the door, I blast him to hell” he said. It was a good plan, excellent maybe. It was worth a shot. As mcReady got into his position. Kate went back down the hallway of were sehe ran. She quickly found Trevor licking the walls, covering them in saliva. She shouted “Come and get me f*cker!” and ran, Trevor behind her. She ran as fast as she could, her adrenaline setting in and giving her speed. She saw the entrance and darted even faster towards it.

She passed through the door, getting behind mcReady, and heard the blast of a flamethrower and the screeches of agony as Trevor was consumed by flames. As Trevor burned, he began to pound the walls with his fists and made his tongue spasm. Tentacles emerged from his back, trying to grab the ceiling but were soon burned and disintegrated by McReady's flamethrower. As McReady continued to spew flames over Trevor’s boy, Trevor began to slowly slump towards the ground, small moans of pain and torture escaping its mouth. Eventually. he remained still, the flames continuing to consume his flesh.
Boris was staring at Trevor, his eyes horrified at the sight. “W-what do w-we do with th-the body no-w?” he asked fearfully. McReady answered “Even if it’s burned to a crisp, its still alive within the inside. We need to destroy the body.” So they dug a pit outside and threw the Trevor’s corpse inside it. Trevor had been put inside a body bag to avoid too much physical contact. The pit had gasoline tanks inside it, and was soon ablaze as McReady shot flames into the pit. As Trevor’s body melted away, Boris mentioned Monica “Where is she?” he asked timidly. Kate suddenly remembered her. “Follow me” she instructed. She went back into the building, walking down the same hallway as before. When she reached the medical room, Monica was no where to be seen.
“It must've escaped” she speculated. Then she heard a door opening behind her. She looked back just as the rest did, McReady preparing his flamethrower.

“Wait!” Dennis shouted as he emerged from the room. He was startled and terrified, but Kate didn’t care. She ran up to him, grabbing him by the neck angrily. “You miserable coward, you left me to die!” she yelled at the top of her lungs. Dennis was choking, muttering as he gagged “I-I was afraid! You would've done the same thing if you suffered from Obsessive-Compulsive disorder!” Kate continued to hold Dennis, but then she felt boris put his hand on her arm. He said “Let him go. He couldn't help it, Obsessive-Compulsive disorder causes the victim to experience great fear when in danger” he explained. Kate held Dennis for a little bit longer before letting him go. Dennis gasped for air, his face nearly purple due to oxygen starvation. “Im sorry” he muttered slowly, getting up on his feet.

Kate looked at Dennis with despise, but once she saw his face she felt pity for him. He was silently crying, his expression full of regret and despair. As they began to walk, the wall to their right broke Monica smashing through the gap, screeching. She charged a Kate who quickly leaped sideways, but Monica continued to charge, towards Dennis.
Dennis screamed, paralyzed with fear. Monica hit his chest with one of her large whip like tentacles, smashing him into the wall behind him. He yelled in agony, his ribcage cracking as the tentacle pounded his chest.

McReady realized what had happened and aimed his flamethrower towards Monica, who was crushing poor Dennis. AS he fired, Childs and Boris grabbed Dennis legs, pulling him away from the danger. Monica was on fire, but was still fighting back.
It tried to whack McReady, but he kept dodging the large tentacle whips. Monica suddenly turned and ran into the wall, smashing it and exiting the hallway into the snow.
It ran as fast as it could, farther and farther away from the camp. McReady pulled the pistol out of his pocket and aimed it at Monica. He shot it, each bullet hitting Monica in a different location. Monica was wounded, and was beginning to slow down. As it fell into the hard snow, McReady went after it. Kate was about to follow, but Childs grabbed her by the arm.

“Let him do this. Now, lets give Dennis some assistance” Childs said. As he walked towards Dennis, Kate continued to watch McReady run after the injured thing. He began to burn it once more once he reached it, more screams of agony escaping the thing’s mouth. She began to wonder how on earth Monica had been assimilated when she had obviously been in company of other humans. Then it struck her. The water. Then she remembered how she saw Trevor sliming the walls with saliva. It was discovering ways of assimilation without even being present. 3 people had been assimilated. 1 was down, 2 to go. But she couldn't remember who’d drunk the water. They would need to do the blood test again, but this time with even more weapons.

Yeah, the ending sucked, but I don't really care. Next chapter will be much calmer and with very few action sequences. Also, I hear you thinking "That's right I can hear your thoughts) what happened to Monica's baby? Well, dear reader, you will find out VERY soon.....
