Chapter 3: Taken Prisoner?

“...and here I am, Happy Now?!” McReady asked angrily. The interrogation had gone terribly, at least for him. The Russians wanted every small detail of the events that came from his mouth. If it wasn’t good enough for them, he got shocked by a handheld taser. He would've defended himself if he wasn’t tied to a chair.

Boris have him a grimacing look “Yes, that will do. Come on everyone, outside” he rushed everyone out of the room except him and the other two survivors, who just happened to be Childs and the young woman. “What a bunch of assholes” Childs said. “ They treat us well, and then start torturing us”.

McReady could see the Russians out the window. They were talking to each other, but he couldn't hear a word they said since the room had been sound proofed. McReady looked ahead of Childs and saw the young woman. She was looking down onto the ground and her eyes were teary. “Hey, you” he said, making her look directly at McReady. “What’s your name?”

She eyed him for a moment, then spoke with a soft but firm voice “I’m Kate. Kate Lloyds.”
“Im McReady” he said, glad he was finally making contact with Kate. “So Kate, why are you here?’ he asked tentatively. Kate answered nervously “I drove over here in a snowcat after surviving Thule Stati-” McReady cut her off “You survived thule Station?!” he exclaimed, even childs seemed surprised he was sitting next to a survivor of the destroyed outpost. “Yes I did. You saw it?” she said nervously. “Yeah. We actually found the remains of a creature that had 2 heads.’ Childs told her. Kate started to slowly break into tears. “What's wrong?” McReady asked. “A-a-adam…” she whispered sadly. McReady then remembered that the 2 heads were from 2 men named Edvard Wolner and Adam Finch.

“I’m sorry for your friends kate” he said sadly. Kate replied “It’s not your fault. There was nothing I could do. What about you, McReady?” McReady looked at her and said in a frustrated voice “Well, we foolishly took the body of Edvard-Adam and it assimilated one of our crew members. Kate looked at him, shocked “You didn’t...Oh my god you didn’t…”

“We did” childs replied “it infected 2 more members and then all hell broke out” childs said, looking up to the roof. “we made a decision to destroy our entire outpost in order to kill the creature”. Kate started to cry “Im sorry, im so sorry” she wailed “None of that would have happened to you if i had burned it even more!”. She cried for a long time, McReady and Childs attempting to console her, but with to avail.

Then the russians walked into the room. Kate stopped crying and the 3 survivors looked up at Boris. He spoke up “Good news’ he said. “After hearing all 3 of your stories, we have concluded you were attacked by an undiscovered Antarctic creature” he said proudly. “This creature seems to have human like features, and reproduces fast, but it’s offspring always have different features.” he claimed.
“What about our friends?!” childs said, challenging Boris. Boris answered “Your friends were probably attacked and killed by the creature. As this was a horrifying experience, your mind probably modified the memories so you think of your friends being alive during the attacks.”

“You f*cking idiot!” McReady shouted. “It wasn’t some undiscovered animal, it was an alien that was able of imitating people, uor just trying to seem smart in front of everybo-AAAAHHH!” McReady was caught off by a Taser Shock from Hiroshi. “Enough insults” Boris said, glaring at McReady with pure hatred. “You will be released from your ropes, we have something to show you….”

The Russians walked into the lab, the 3 survivors walking behind them. They’d promised not to attack any of the crew members, otherwise they'd spend another hour tied to a chair. As they entered the lab, they saw the blind man working on some sort of large fish. “Hello Anthony’ Boris said “We have the survivors with us” he said. Anthony stopped working on the large fish and turned to look at them. As he did, the fish came into view, shocking McReady as he saw the remains of the Blair thing.

“Hello Everyone!” Anthony said “Good to see you, especially you 3” he pointed a small knife towards Kate, Childs and McReady “As you can see, this large thing was found in a ditch by the American Outpost.” he said. McReady looked at Anthony, shock still on his face “Why?” he asked vaguely.

Anthony seemed confused by this word. “Why what” he asked. “Why, WHY WOULD YOU BRING THIS THING?!” McReady shouted, jumping towards Anthony, only to be grabbed by Trevor and Ben. “YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING!” he shouted as he was dragged away “BURN IT, BEFORE IT KILLS ALL OF YOU!”.

“Tigh him up” Boris ordered “I've had enough of this nonsense” “YOU'RE MAKING A GRAVE MISTAKE, YOU'RE ALL GOING TO REGRET THIS!” McReady shouted one last time before his yells faded away.

“I think we've had enough” Boris said. “Monica, you take care of Kate. Ben, you're in charge of Childs.” The woman with the plump stomach patted Kate’s shoulders and motioned her to follow her. The bald man nodded and put his arm on Child’s back and walked away.

“The rest of you can leave” Boris ordered. As everyone left the room, Anthony looked at the Blair thing and then at Boris. “What was that all about?” he asked. ‘Those survivors are insane, especially the bearded one” Boris said. “Were going to have to call the FBI to get them to retrieve these nutjobs”. he remarked “Aliens taking over people's bodies, what a bunch of bullsh*t.” he chuckled. “hehe, yeah” Anthony agreed.

Deep inside the remains of the Blair things, IT awoke. Knowing it was in vulnerable state, IT waited for the perfect moment to strike. IT was ready to assimilate. IT was ready to be reborn.

Chapter 3 is done. Iv'e been deciding how the story would go down, and i think the result was a success (I guess). Very special shoutout to a great guy names OddClyde.
