Making Between generation drawing has took me so long not only because of small format of this picture (it's only A5) and enormous amount of details (like always, by the way) but also because I had to scan it every time when I've drawn in something new and let you know that I haven't a scanner at home so it was very awkward processes, but I've decided to show you one more time how my drawing has been growing!
Last time I've made such an animation to Happy Birthday, Toother! drawing - HERE it is! It was not so good as I suppese to and this time I've made it much better.
It's awesome to be able to see how some art, that you like so much, has been making and how it's been appearing progressively on a sheet of paper. There is something magical in this process. I love to watch such an animations so I had to make such a one too. I hope you like it!

Ostatnim razem wykonałem taka animację do rysunku Wszystkiego najlepszego, Zębaty!

That's soooo awesome! and only A5? wow! but there are so many details! Great to see how you work! Both dragons look great, and somehow I am fascinated by the way you draw trees

Awwww... that's a great pleasure for me to read such a kind words from you, my dear. The size of this drawing is a cause of my laziness; I though that small picture would be easier and faster to make. I was wrong. It was even more difficult and the final effect wasn't so satisfying as I've planed to be. So your opinion about this simple drawing is very important for me and really makes me happy! I'm glad that this blurred pines looks so good. Thanks, my dear!

you are welcome! hihi, small pictures can be just as 'annoying' as the big ones! especially when you add as much detail to it as you did! but it looks great, I never would have thought it was drawn on such a small paper, since all the details pop out so nicely. Is it an idea to make some sort of tutorial one day, and show how/what materials you use? I can learn soooo much from you! even these step by step pictures are an eye opener

Me and my details... this sick perfectionism will kill me one day. But after such a awesome words of my dear watcher I know that it was worth for. Thanks for this, my dear. Tutorial? Hmmm... I'm not good in this shit; maybe when I'll get tablet I will try to make such a stuff. And, trust me, I can not tech you anything useful; my technique is horrible, I use wrong pencils in wrong order, my drawing is more institutional and skills are in fact nothing more than function copy-past; I just watch many photos and use them to draw what I've planned to draw. I need to learn from tutorials much more!

but your perfectionism comes with a lot of perseverance! I think I would have given up on all those details long before finishing the drawing
and you are welcome!
Oh, who cares about using pencils in the wrong order! lol, I never knew there was a right order to start with XD The result is wonderful, so there must be something about your technique that's brilliant and looking at photos is one thing, but getting them on paper the way you do requires quite some drawing skills

Yup. It wasn't easy to work on A5 (I was lazy so I've chosen small format). But I'm glad that you like it; it means that it was worth to.

It was really hard to make; cause of this size drawing isn't so good but I'm quite satisfied. Especially if you think so, my dear Amber. Thank you for this.

Heh, you went to so much trouble to show us all this. Thank you. Honestly, I have no idea how you can see and draw such beautiful things right from your head.

Naaaa... it's not so big trouble for me; it's a little bit awkward. Only! Just look at my doodle-arts and then you'll see how this things are making. It's hard to draw without any sketches or doodles; I always plan my drawing and when the project is done I start to draw but even then I still modify it what sometime can be really dangerous; paper is not a tablet - eraser is not a "backspace button". You know what I mean?

nice! that looks super complicated and waaayyy outta my skill range :/
plus the fact i just can't slow down n use guidelines, i just draw all at once, and usually press to hard to erase.

Kindly thank you. Nice to hear this. And, being honest I have a similar problem - too much eraser and hard pencils Nobody's perfect.

It seems like you had to redraw some minor things between frames, the wing moves to the side slightly the claws too. Knowing that this is traditional art, it's kind of risky to move things around too much, cause you have to erase and you can't do that indefinetely, like you could with digital art.
It's really cool to see this progress, i only wish the frames were going a bit slower so it would be easier to notice all the details that change between different stages of your work.

DanGref In reply to Krovash [2015-07-23 15:58:06 +0000 UTC]
Yea. That's my biggest problem; I'm never sure how to draw my pictures and I still change some things during work. It's risky - you're right and many time paper stop cooperate with me I also love to much to use hard pencils at firs so later, when I want to change something I have to do something with canyons in paper; you can still see them at wings and paws, when first shading brings out them into sight. I still try to fight off this bad mannerism.
And you're right; it was too fast. Now it's slower. I hope it's better now.
