The comic is also hinting that Morgana and Darkwing will be breaking up. We won't know until Issue 12 for sure, though.

You mean involving the current arc? Or in general?
Nothing really, yet, when it comes to the FOWL arc. I'm just REALLY hating how they portray Morgana. They are making her far too needy and clingy, and even worse with her confidence than she was in "Just Us Justice Ducks". And the way it's looking, they might end up splitting up her and DW.
And I've been upset with Ian since BEFORE the annual, when they had an implied suicide of QuackerJack.
Basically, the comics, for me, are less like Darkwing Duck and more like the furry (feathery) version of Batman. I love Batman, don't get me wrong. But DWD is NOT Batman.

I'm telling you guys, the comics are just their published fanfic! They should really be taking fan criticism into consideration instead of taking the series in such a drastically different direction.

LOL. I've been saying that on the Old Haunt forums too. It does read like a fanfiction. and not even that good of one. I can go to FF.net and read much better ones for free.
I think a problem also comes from the fact they're making a kid show a bit too dark. Don't get me wrong, I like dark things. and I can even enjoy stories like 's work. But I think the appeal is knowing that's just one person's version. Not "canon". Not something that many will expect us to see as "canon".

Yeah, I thought the idea of Quackerjack committing suicide was extremely OOC--not to mention not exactly kid-friendly. Even if we are their target audience (being the most familiar with DWD), they need to remember that kids read this stuff, too. It needs to stay light and fun, while also retaining the heart the original show had.
Well, DW and Morg are a bit of an on-off couple anyway, given how many fights they get into. So if "he loses her," at least there's always the chance that he'll get her back. Not so much if they put her (or worse, Gosalyn) on a plane doomed to be shot down over Japan.
