I know! When I do it by hand the lines are all shaky and wobbly...Ugh. I don't see how people can do such things by hand with a tablet. D: So I use the curves tool.

My tablet's pen pressure and sensitivity doesn't work with SAI but it does with PSE 9. Do you know how to fix this? It just works like a plain mouse would, no pressure change or anything like that...
fantastic tutorial btw. when I get my tablet situtaion figured out I will beusing this! <33

i'd recommend first: unplug your tablet, restart your computer, plug the tablet back in. check for updated drivers, start sai. if it's still not working, check the Others->Options menu in sai.. and check your digitizer support settings. what kind of tablet do you have?

no the trial should also have the curve/line tool, but they're only available on a line art layer, not a normal layer.

Thank you for putting this up X3 it's helped me massively and now I understand why my pressure lines get in the way XD *I hate using pressure on the pen itself because I'll get thick and thin strokes with opacity getting involved and it makes the whole lineart itself a huge mess

Okay, this may be a stupid question but i cannot find the option or place or whatever to make the lineart blue can u tell mee?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
DarlingMionette In reply to Shadowflip [2011-09-11 21:24:36 +0000 UTC]
if you're talking on the lineart-layer, then there's a "color" option in the menu that lets you change the line color :3 if you're talking about a sketch on a normal layer, then you can lock the layer transparency and then paint the sketch blue with a normal brush :3

Im gonna have to use SAI more often and try the pen tool PS pen tool is a bit annoying and I have a shakey hand so it something gets in the way of making my inking look neat and clean and this tutorial will do the trick

DarlingMionette In reply to zakaz92 [2011-07-23 22:59:40 +0000 UTC]
XD SAI has a stabilizer if you have a shakey hand :3 it slows down your penstrokes so you can be much more precise
