If you go back to the very start of my DA gallery, you're at 2005, so this meme actually goes back even further than that hahaha! Some of the art here isn't actually on my DA because it's from commissions, comics, bits of concept art etc. I was trying to pick pieces which I like and which also sum up the kind of style I was drawing in at the time.
Hahahaha. I could totally do one of these with just pictures of Rekki. I need to do an 'evolution of Rekki Lune' image some time. That'd be interesting!

Overall I'm really pleased with my development. I've always been a pretty restless artist, so it's a very organic evolution with plenty of tangents and experiments.
My advice to all young artists, especially you who feel anxious because there are people younger than you making better work is this:
Challenge yourself. Sometimes other people are the obstacle, but quite often the obstacle is internal, not external. If you keep trying, there is nothing you can't draw! If something isn't working, try again, or try looking for inspiration elsewhere. Take a break, drink some tea, think carefully about the root of the problem, try try again!
