I haven't drawn any Selphie for a while, but since I recently joined and my scanner has finally arrived, I decided it's high time I did some fanart of one of my very favourite video game characters.
I think Selphie is a more tomboyish character than a lot of fanart depicts her as. I wanted a kind of tough-but-cute Selphie pic. The first thing that came to mind was one of the funniest things she says in the game:
"Blow it to smithereens with a Rocket Launcher!?"

So there you go. Selphie from Final Fantasy VIII...with a Rocket Launcher. It was the obvious thing to do. ^_^
The drawing work was mech pencil, scanned and then with a fair bit of CGing in Photoshop. It's a bit more bold and bright than some of my stuff. It just fit the sort of piece. Some influence came from the famous 'Ph33r the cute ones' picture from Megatokyo, hence the title.
