No, I don't care if this is entirely the wrong catagory, which it probably is. Make a cosplay gallery dammit! Why is the only 'dressing up' thing for fetishism!? That's just bloody stupid!Aaanyway....Many thanks to my little bro for doing my hair, and for taking the photo (encouraging increasingly silly poses!). This is me testing out my cosplay for Ayacon 2005 (in two weeks time) as Selphie from Final Fantasy VIII. This is a nice cosplay to wear because it's comfortable...once you get used to how short it is! I think it looks better IRL than on the photo, as the material looks darker on here. Maybe I should take it in a little further so it's more fitted....?
Basically I'm a big Selphie fan (Or a little one, seeing as I'm only the same size as she is ^_^' ) and I've wanted to do this since I first played the game aged 15. It's made from corderouy if you're wondering, and took quite a long time to make, but is extremely close to the one she wears in the game (even down to the shape of the back pockets!) so I'm happy with it. Shame I photograph terribly really....
Still, at least I can say that I'm not yet another Rinoa or Yuna!

Thanks. Actually it was pretty wierd the first time I put it all on and looked in a mirror. I wandered into the room with the mirror in it, looked and thought 'oh look, it's Selphie....Wait a minute...Crud, that's me!' It was pretty crazy ^_^

Have you ever been to a con? They take any prop that looks even a tiny bit dangerous off you at the door (so even if I made my nunchaku from foam or cardboard, they would be taken from me) So there's no point in making them really, especially since I have two weeks till the con and I'm perfectionist so I'd try to make exact replicas of the ones she has in game, it'd just be something else to stress over. So no nunchaku I'm afraid.

awwwww, well here the rules are a bit on the grey area. We still abide by Canadian law about weapons in public but stuff people make out of foam/cardboard/pvc are a-ok, for the most part

British cons we make up for it though, since nobody will stop you from wandering around the convention with a pint of beer in your hand (As Piro mentioned in his blog after he visited us at Ayacon 2003 ^_^ )
