I'm honestly not sure how I feel about this piece. I was constantly in two minds about it, even from the pencilling stage, but somehow ended up finishing it.I haven't done any weird stuff with patterns and textures like this for a while.
My prediction: everybody's gonna ignore this piece.

Hahaha, that's not surprising really. The thing I like best about Bleach is the way the designs often incorporate that retro pop look. Taito has great fashion sense! With FanDanGo I wanted to give not just the characters and chapter images a poppy look like Bleach, but to take it further so that the whole comic, every page would be visually unusual and experimental.

Bleach does have some cool retro patternage, though not so much like this. Gankatsuou is an anime with a style a big like this though.
