Thirteen, unlucky for Sol!
This page actually changed completely from the original draft. Originally, Sol would say something mean, Rekki would give a quick witty comeback and do an incredible flip away or something. But as I drew it out, I decided that that would firstly be insanely hard to draw and secondly that it'd be just too pretentiously cool and serious for the comic. Rekki needed to do something that showed that, though yes she has awesome powers, she's a competant fighter and a down to earth person. The inspiration to have her elbow strike to the Solar Plexus came from my many past sparring matches against who has extremely dangerous elbows if you get too close. Sol made the mistake of getting in too close to Rekki and letting his guard drop due to his arrogance.
Of course, the other thing he did was to call Rekki 'little'. She's 5'3" which is respectable enough (taller than me) but still below average height, so she's very concious about it. She's seventeen, so I doubt she's gonna grow much somehow, but she is technically correct, since you grow until you're 24! (it's barely noticable in most girls once you're past about 15 though, so what Rekki's saying is pretty optimistic!!!).
I love the fact that the page is a tiny un-cute girl beating up a bishounen while a big beefy guy stands about in the background! It's just so messed up!
