Description Ok Rei, you can stop hyperventilating now, she's not dead, just rather grumpy.
Okite -wake up. Another bit of Sarin inserting a word or two of Ooshimago to colour her speech a little. I'm trying to avoid words that are normally used by fangirls, use the bilingual stuff for emphasis, especially in places where the Japanese has a stronger sound than the English. 'Yoshi!' has a stronger sound than 'good!' or 'Ok!' and 'Okite yo!' (pronounced oh-key-tey yo) has a stronger, less awkward sound than 'wake up!' The strong K sound in the middle gives it a nice little bit of extra power.
Footie- Football (Soccer). I love the juxtaposition of English slang with Japanese. ^_^

This page took aaaages. So far in the comic, I haven't really had to handle large groups of characters together much before. I need to practice it a bit more. Lots of black and white on this page. It's faster and also works nicely during dynamic scenes.
Favourite panel? Middle two. Setting up the relationship between Sarin and Rekki. It was some fun dialogue to write.

Hehe, I love the dialogue! No cheesy, overdramatic friend moments between these two. XD

The group shot in the second panel turned out great, too. Plus I can finally, really, see for the first time just how big Subo is compared to Rocket and Juu!

The height comparison isn't perfect on that page, because they're running. Juu is actually taller than Rekki. The height difference between Sarin and Rekki is pretty painful to draw sometimes. Technically Juu, Rekki and Sol are the only people who are anything close to 'normal' size for people of their age and gender. Rocket being noticably petite, moreso than Rekki, and Sarin and Subo being freakishly tall (though Sarin isn't as tall as Subo, a six foot tall girl is probably more rare than a 6'4" guy. I had a friend in high school who was a 6' girl. The general effect when you saw her was 'whoah...'

Interesting. A healing factor, to heal from a mortal wound. Was this used in a previous story that I missed?

All hail Deus Ex Machina!

No, this is the first time it's been mentioned in the comic. It is quite common for anybody with a high magic count (even if they're not a knight) to have a healing factor in this world setting. Not Wolverine or Dead Girl level, they can't regenerate lost limbs, and unless they get additional healing it may well leave painful scarring or the affected bodypart may well suffer from permenantly damaged nerves or muscles, restricting feeling and coordination.
Sarin and Rocket, with their particularly low magic counts, are unusual for knights in that a wound like the one Rekki just took would probably kill them, or at least hospitalise them for a long time.

Thanks for the clarification. Magical realms hold an obvious fascination for me, but I don't get to do enough reading to keep up with magical trends. Thanks again and keep up the good work. It's a joy to read!

Ah, it's not a typical magical trait. It's just a magical trait in this comic, which will be explained later. Glad you're enjoying the comic!

I like that line, Sarin is one of the only people in the comic with the guts to insult Rekki in front of her face like that, which is probably the reason they're friends. Sarin has the strength of personality to match Rekki's.

Keep on breathing! ^_^
