I wanted to take the comic back to being retro. Drawing in colour kind of made me lose my way and go towards more dull, generic styles. I got really stuck with this page, couldn't work out why until I realised that I wasn't enjoying what I was drawing! I guess this page really goes overboard on the psychedelia, because it's me getting my groove back and experimenting with what I can do in colour. Sarin's room is pretty damned funky in my opinion!
Vocab:
'Yez' is colloquial British. The American equivalent would be 'yous' or 'you'se'. It isn't generally used in formal conversation, and more often than not, is used more by people with a stronger accent.
Sarin's pronunciation of 'eh?' conforms more to the shorter and more throaty pronunciation used by the Japanese than the typical Northern English, which is very similar, but a little longer and softer. Sarin, in case you're wondering, doesn't speak with a Japanese accent, but with a British one. She would sound like a well-spoken middle class girl with a slight northern edge to her pronunciation, but who uses occasional Japanese words and incidentals.
