Description
It's another FanDanGo character doodle! This time it's Juliet Ellis. She's TOO SKINNY ON THIS PICTURE! AAGH! I drew it before I really got the hang of drawing Juu's body. She's curvier than Rekki on this, but I don't think she's as big as she should be. ...Aah, the difficulties of being a nutcase feminist webcomic artist.
My japanese friend, Yusuke san really likes her shirt. In case you can't read Japanese, it says 'Abunai' which means 'Danger' or 'Dangerous', I'd love to have a shirt like that ^_^ Juliet is a dark character, but I must say now she's NOT a goth. She probably wouldn't stand for 'all that Romantic crap' as she'd call it, she dresses in dark colours mostly because they suit her and because nessesity demands it for an espionage artist.

ooh... gotta love that hair. cockroach hair. hehe. she's not skinny at all, she's definitely got more flesh on her than me. she looks really strong and a bit toned, which really works for her because of her profession.

I think her body size is fine. The right shoulder looks a little broad (maybe it's just thick lines), but def. looks more realistic than the more stereotypical anime-influenced female characters around.

Nothing wrong with being a feminist web comic artist. Its nice to see girls that have bodies and normal chests.
I would not call her skinny compared to most drawings of anime females so I would not worry about that too much.
Unfortunately most of my comic characters are male which might be uncommon for a female writor that is not writing yoai but I do have one main female who is not a "bad guy." She is pretty kick ass (in my opinion) and none of my girls that I ever use will be there for the sake of fan service.
Anyway that is it for my rant..
You are good with pencil.. and that is a very cool shirt ^^

Thanks for the comment! Juu being a little bigger came about when I thought about her design a little 'Well she's an espionage artist who wears a lycra bodysuit as a kind of uniform because that's what members of her house wear...what if she was a bit concious about her body and hated wearing it?' Even though the comic is about knights and magic, most of the drama and humour is to do with very everyday things.
It's quite nice to see a girl writing a comic with guys in it that isn't just another lame, unrealistic yaoi! I think Mangled Faith is great! ^_^

Hey no problem ^^
Everyday life humour and drama are often the best because it gives the reader something to relate to. Everyday life humour is also good because lets face it.. life can be pretty funny when you look at it.
Mine will be simular in the way that it is a little more centered around real life. At least real life emotions. Most of my characters are demons but I have decided that instead of the typical demon characters they would be much more "human."
Im glad you think so ^^
