Description
I rarely draw things just on impulse, there's normally some kind of story behind it, and I have trouble coming up with an illustration without a story. This is an unusual exception because I just sat down and drew it. It's...well, it's a bishounen knight and a cute girl hugging. That's about it really hahaha!Experimenting with colouring the lines here, and also finer inking. The colour scheme was kind of inspired by Cecil from Final Fantasy IV's Paladin appearance. Actually, now I look at it, it kind of looks like the FF8 logo too...so it's almost an FF fanart, but it's not hahaha!

haha Im the same, cant come up with a picture unless it has a story behind it.
Really like the coloured lines, looks very nice. I'd like to see how it looks with your thicker cut-away line style

Thanks, haha, yeah, I think 'kinda sweet' describes it well, it's not my most profound or interesting piece ever, but it's nice enough hahaha.

It's really nice to see some new art from you and this is a very nice piece. I like the texturing work you've subtly built into some of the clothing.

Thanks! The texturing is actually throughout the whole piece, I think it stands out more on the clothing though. It's just a layer with some cloud and noise filter and a liberal bit of texture brushing put onto something like one of the 'light' blending options (can't remember which one I used now) generally I use textures when I want a softer effect to my work.

No problem! Maybe a soft light layer with a low opacity? Anyhow it looks very nice and subtle.
