Rocket Lune, standing alone in a field with the wind rippling through the grass, making the seeds shake together to create a sound like the ocean...Being cheerful all the time can be tough. Rocket, in the course of the story, has to deal with a lot, and yet always smiles and braves her way through it. She's a gentle and thoughtful character with a strong spiritual side to her. I did this pic a while ago, and debated uploading it. The anatomy and stuff isn't as good as my newer work, but I really like her outfit and someting about the mood of the piece. It's quite a nice CG too. I was trying to get a really luminescent effect, you know like in Bleach, when they're in the spirit world it's all like glowy?
The runes on it are 'Fan' 'Dan' and 'Go' Which make up the title of the comic and are the runes for 'Strength/Power', 'Honour/Duty' and 'Battle'. The runes will come into the comic soon enough, since Juliet has been introduced now.

I wish I had a shirt like that too ^_^ When I do a character design I think of two things:
1. Does it suit that character?
2. Would I want to cosplay/wear that outfit?
Rocket's clothes tend to be very simple and innocent looking, I can use more delicate patterns and prints for her than Rekki.

Hehe, whenever I draw a character I think of those points too XD But it usually doesn't come out the way I wanted it to XD Guess I'm just bad at drawing clothes XD

I think it takes a lot of practice to draw clothing. There's a lot of people who can draw really good faces, maybe even really good anatomy, but trip over on fabric. I still feel I could improve how I draw clothes, I can't draw lacy stuff like you get in Clamp. I wish I could do that, and making leather really look like it's strong and thick, things like that.
