I was gonna put this in scraps, but it seemed a shame, 'cause it's not that bad even though it is a rough sketch.Super-heroes (and villains...or in Magneto's case, super-whatever mood I'm in today people) make for great anatomical drawing practice because of their exaggerated musculature and skintight clothes. This is basically an anatomical practice drawing. It was gonna be Batman, but I'm more of a Marvel girl (haha. Marvel girl. That's appropriate since I have red hair...unfortunately no psychic powers). I drew him in the Kirby-era costume 'cause....er...I like it (though the Morrison-era one with the robes is my fave, he's less good as anatomy practice due to lack of lycra).
Still not perfect, but I'm slowly getting there!

Marvel all the way. DC is kinda wacky, Marvel knows that they are wacky.

Not bad! I rather like the way you handled the studs on the gloves/belt/cape. The cape itself seems a little on the short side, but I suppose that's better than the alternative of being forty feet long and somehow magically held aloft in the breeze...
Personally, I prefer Nightcrawler. Nightcrawler and Gambit. But I'm strange.

I love Nightcrawler, but I actually seem to be the only female Marvel fan who hates Gambit! But the thing with Nightcrawler is that he's less good for anatomy practice because he doesn't have normal hands and feet and stuff.

True, but he (and Gambit, and to an extent, Cyclops) are really good for practicing special effects, heh. And weird though they may be, I love Nightcrawler's hands.
