I forgot to upload this! Should have done when the announcement was made really.So this is the logo design for the new Vacant Sky prequel, Vacant Sky: Awakening. I'm pretty much head character designer, but funnily enough the design for Korelli who appears on the logo here is one that I wasn't really responsible for, as she already had a pretty nice design laid out and I just tweaked a few things. We did discuss using another female character who was designed by me and who has an important story role...but she also has...um, rather potentially memetic hair which we thought would be distracting on a logo!
I've done a new logo in a similar style for the new Contention Complete edition too. I'll put that up soon. For more info on the games, check out

This is really nice! I like the infinity-sign shape built into the design, and the style of this as a logo for a game. It's reminiscent of the FF logos but unique enough to be memorable as its own 'type' of logo.
...Did you design the selphie-esque lines on the dress? I have a hunch that was one of the tweaks for some reason. XD

Actually the Selphie lines weren't my addition. I only really sort of simplified things a little and changed the hairstyle and face to make them more cute and fitting the character.
Oh, if you're playing the original, bear in mind we're releasing a better version of it later this year called 'Contention Complete' which will collect all three acts as one game with numerous story and gameplay tweaks (such as making the combat in act 1 and 2 as good as in act 3) So keep an eye out for that.

But, oh wow, the idea of having Naora in the logo instead of Korelli is hilarious. I didn't know you guys were considering that. The background for her would just have to be more of her hair.

Hahahahaha! Yessss, it totally would be. Naora has all of the hair. We were considering it because of her role in the story as a whole and her relations with Dakura being quite significant, but overalll.....yeah, the hair... ^_^;;;

Thank you! The flower motif is actually kind of plot and character relevant, it was Bishop (the main writer, coder and guy in charge of Vacant Sky) who came up with the concept.

Did you look at the page I linked to: ? Vacant Sky is a free indie RPG series. The original game, Contention is in 3 parts, but we're currently making a 'Complete' edition which combines them into one full game with a bunch of tweaks and extras. Check out that page for more details and info.
