Description
This page was more to get me in the habit of drawing rats in all sorts of poses. These were all done from watching my two rats Fred and Gorge. Actually learned a bit from this. Think I'm getting the hang of their anatomy. Really helps that I have life reference right in front of me tho, rather than just looking at photos. Hopefully once I get a fermer grasp on how they move i can go back to actual character development and start breaking the lines to create some unique designs.Related content

you may reference the poses, but please reframe from using any of the character designs I come up with, you can use them to play off of when coming up with your own designs tho.

Of course, they will all be in my own kinda style but the proportions and such I will use from your sheet. I'm trying to find a style I am comfortable with, its kinda hard really.

Speaking of rodents, I almost ran over a mouse this morning. I saw him run across the road so I slowed down realy quick to give him time to run away, but he didn't and I rolled over him. When I glanced in my rear veiw mirror, he was cowering in the middle of the road. I was so relived he was okay. And it was pretty funny to see him crouching in the street like that.

aww Rats are so cute >.< and well done! These sketches are amazing! I've never had a rat because my mother won't let me but i have gerbils and they are very similar, but again great job i'm looking forward to a comic!

X] yeah to make it harder for them to scarf down their food i took a coconut had a friend drill a hole in it, cracked it in half and treated it like a lid to their food dish. Its quiet hilarious to see them when the food gets to the bottom and they have to have almost half their body in there wiggling around to get it.

hehe, i gots a rat myself, though she refuses to run on a wheel and she is a little bit fat. X3 but i love her lots and she likes to ride around on my shoulder. X3 i need to take pictures of her sometime so everyone else can see. X3
